Springtime is here and you know what that means, don’t you? Wedding season can’t be far behind! Before you know it, brides will be walking down the aisle while pianos and organs play. Wedding venues across the area will soon be packed with guests bestowing best wishes on happy couples.
Now is the perfect time to think about getting a beautiful smile for wedding season. You wouldn’t show up at a wedding in an old worn-out suit or a dusty dress that’s been hanging in your closet for years, would you? Of course not. So, why wouldn’t you want your smile to look its best, also?
The good news is that the expert dental team at Tulip Tree Dental Care offers patients a wide selection of cosmetic dentistry treatments, each one designed to your individual needs so that we can create the most beautiful smile possible for you. We’ll work one-on-one with you to make sure when you attend any weddings this season, your smile looks just the way you want. Below are some of our most popular cosmetic treatments.
Spruce Up a Damaged Smile Using Dental Veneers
Dental veneers are sometimes called “instant orthodontics” because they have the potential to quickly transform dull, damaged teeth into a brand-new smile worthy of being called a masterpiece.
Veneers are thin, wafer-like shells that Dr. Hurcomb can bond to the front of imperfect teeth to give them a more attractive appearance. Shaped like fingernails, veneers can quickly repair chips, cracks, pits, deep stains, gaps, worn teeth, misshapen teeth, and teeth that are slightly crooked. We offer the IPS e.max line of veneers because they are time-tested and deliver our patients durability and a lifelike appearance similar to that of natural teeth.
To begin your veneers treatment, we will first take impressions of your teeth. Then using the impressions, our lab partner will custom-craft your new veneers. Once they are ready for placement, you’ll return to our office.
In most cases, we will need to remove a small amount of tooth enamel to make room for the veneers. Some patients may be good candidates for prepless veneers, however, meaning that little if any enamel will need to be removed.
Then, Dr. Hurcomb will bond each veneer into place. She will double check each one, ensuring that they fit perfectly and look exactly like you want. You’ll be ready for wedding season with a brand-new, gorgeous smile.
Teeth Whitening Will Brighten Your Smile
Perhaps your teeth are in good shape other than being dull. Maybe they lack the white luster they once had when you were younger. That’s no problem for teeth whitening treatment at Tulip Tree Dental Care. We use the KöR whitening system exclusively because it can whiten teeth as much as 16 shades!
We give you choices for your whitening treatment. For the fastest, most dramatic results, you’ll want to opt for in-office whitening. We’ll provide you with custom whitening trays designed to keep KöR’s concentrated whitening agent on your teeth and away from your gums. This treatment will give you the white smile you want in just one session!
Time may not be a factor and you may want to whiten your teeth on your own schedule. If so, we offer at-home treatment using KöR. Although not as fast as in-office treatment, our professional kit will still work faster and more safely than store-bought whitening strips or kits. In a matter of days you’ll have your new smile!
You may want to combine teeth whitening with dental veneers for best results. We often recommend that our patients whiten their teeth to the desired level, then we will match your veneers to that whiteness (veneers can’t be whitened afterward like natural teeth can). Once we place your veneers, you’ll have a bright, seamless smile. Routine touch-up whitening will help keep it white and attractive.
Mend Your Teeth With Dental Bonding
In some ways, dental bonding performs the same role as veneers do. Both are great at repairing tooth imperfections. Bonding is a quick, budget-friendly way to repair teeth that don’t need extensive cosmetic work. This treatment can quickly fill in chips and pits, cover cracks, and close gaps.
For your bonding treatment, Dr. Hurcomb will use long-lasting composite resin. This is the same durable material that we use for our tooth-colored fillings. She will match the color to that of your teeth, then apply the composite to any damaged areas. Using her dental skills, she will form and sculpt the composite until it looks and feels just right to you. Then, we will cure and harden the material using a special light. In most cases, with bonding you can walk out of our office with a brand-new smile in just one appointment. It couldn’t be simpler!
